Kershaw Center Disability Foundation

The Kershaw Center Disability Foundation is committed to ensuring the continuation of our mission of “Making a Difference” in the lives of individuals with lifelong disabilities throughout Kershaw County. The Foundation supports programs and initiatives that promote independence, enhance quality of life, and provide opportunities for individuals to achieve their highest potential.

Through the generosity of our donors and community partners, the Foundation funds essential needs and life-enhancing experiences that would otherwise be unattainable. During the past year, contributions to the annual campaign made it possible to provide:

• Environmental modifications to ensure accessibility and safety within homes
   
• Opportunities for individuals to attend summer camp and engage in community activities
   
• Assistance with burial and medical expenses for individuals and families in need
   
• Support for housing stability through rent and utility assistance
   
• Replacement of vital equipment such as air compressors for air conditioning units
   
• New Bedroom furniture,  mattresses and box springs to promote comfort and health
   
• Necessary plumbing repairs to maintain safe living environments
   
• Funding for the Kershaw Center Annual Spring Dance, a cherished event that fosters inclusion and social engagement
